DevOps Engineer

DevOps Engineer, B2B contract
For our client in Prague, Czech Republic, we're seeking a DevOps Engineer for a B2B freelancing project.

About the project:
This role is a part of the DevSecOps Platforms department, and it's integral to the team as they manage critical tools such as GitHub (including GitHub actions and managing their own action runners), Zabbix, Artifactory, CloudBees Jenkins, IBM DevOps Deploy, SonarQube and GitHub Copilot.


Responsibilities:
  • Tool Management - Help to prepare upgrades, provide support and contribute to the further development of the suite of tools, including regular maintenance of servers
  • Observability improvements - improve current implementation of monitoring for the client's services
  • Scripting and processes/task automation - Developing, implementing, and maintaining scripts that leverage process automation to reduce manual efforts and enhance effectiveness
  • Infrastructure Management - Manage our Cloud-based infrastructure (eg. on Azure, custom hybrid cloud solution, ensuring service stability and efficiency)

Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role in application/system administration (software development experience is beneficial)
  • Proficient knowledge of scripting languages - Bash, Shell, PowerShell, Groovy
  • Experience with cloud services, specifically Azure, and understanding of the concepts of infrastructure/networking
  • Expected solid working knowledge of tools such as GitHub (including GitHub Actions and managing action runners), Zabbix, Artifactory, CloudBees Jenkins, IBM DevOps Deploy, SonarQube and GitHub Copilot and related technologies is beneficial (Git, Maven, npm,..)
  • B2+ English

  • Regime: 2 days per week onsite
