GL Accountant with French

For our client - a global supplier of scientific instruments, we are currently looking for a GL Accountant with French.

Your responsibilities:

  • Handle invoice accounting, stock transactions, bank transactions, internal documents and various other accounting tasks;
  • Prepare monthly and annual financial statements according to company policies;
  • Collaborate with the local team in France for accurate accounting transactions;
  • Salaries and other personnel costs based on the documents provided by the external accounting and tax office;
  • Ensure compliance with local accounting and tax requirements with the external accounting and tax office;
  • Ensure compliance with internal control processes and support audit activities;
  • Participate in process improvements within the new Shared Service Centre.

What you will need to succeed:

  • Experience in a comparable accounting role, preferably within an international company or Shared Service Centre;
  • Proficiency in French and English languages;
  • Knowledge of accounting and tax regulations (experience with French standards is an advantage);
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel;
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP is an advantage).
